Pastonopota

Ingredients:
  • 7 boiled potatoes
  • coriander powder 1 teaspoon (dhania powder)
  • black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon (kali mirch powder)
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • carom seeds (ajwain) 
  • pasta
  • soy sauce
  • green chili sauce
  • oil
  • salt
  • garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • curd
  • plain flour (maida)
  • eating soda
  • asafoetida (hing)
  • coriander leaves
Procedure:
  • Heat oil in a sauce pan and deep fry the pasta.  
  • In a pan heat some oil and add soy sauce, green chili sauce, red chili powder, salt and toss the pasta with it. 
  • Remove it from flame.  Now boil some water and add pasta, cook it for 4 minutes.  
  • Remove it from flame and keep it for cooling.  
  • Now strain the water, heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a pan.  
  • Add red chili powder, asafoetida, carom seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper powder, garam masala powder.   
  • Cook it for 2 minutes with little amount of water.  
  • Now add potatoes, salt and mix well. Add chopped coriander leaves.  
  • Mix pasta and mash the mixture.  
  • Mix curd, eating soda, salt, oil with plain flour and make soft dough.  
  • Now make small balls and roll them to a flat bread and fill the mixture.
  • Fold the bread and close the edges.  
  • Now boil some water in a steamer and place the pastonopota, steam them for 3 minutes.
  • Now heat some oil in pan and add soy sauce, red chili powder, salt.  
  • Mix the steamed pastonopota and roast them until crisp from both sides.  
  • Serve hot with some tomato ketchup.
