Stir Fried Okra Shahi Pulav

Ingredients:
  • rice
  • okra
  • cashew nuts
  • almonds
  • coriander powder
  • black pepper powder
  •  salt
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 cloves
  • turmeric powder
  • ghee
  • Garam masala powder
  • Milk
  • asafoetida
Procedure:
  • Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a pan.  Add okra mix well.
  • Add coriander powder, black pepper powder, salt, asafoetida.
  • Cook until soft, remove it from flame.
  • In a thick bottom pot boil the water. 
  • Add milk, ghee, turmeric powder, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, salt.
  • Cover it for 2 minutes on a low flame.  
  • Now add the rice and cook it again on high flame.  
  • Add garam masala, cashew nuts, almonds.  
  • Once water reduces mix okra.  Switch off the flame.  Cover the pot.
  • Remove the cover at the time of serving.
