Khaataai Cheese Khichdi

Ingredients:
  • Indrayani kolum rice one small bowl
  • Split green lentils(mung dal) one small bowl
  • Salt
  • 1 tomato chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder (lal mirch powder)
  • 3 khaataai (north indian pickle)
  • Cheese
  • 5 garlic cloves Chopped(lehsun)
  • Ghee 3 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon oil
Procedure:
  • Heat ghee in the souse pan and fry garlic, add tomato.  Add red chili powder.
  • Add hing, khaataai and cook it for 5 minutes.  Add some water and cook it for another 2 minutes.
  • Now add cheese, once melted add rice and dal.  Cook it for 2 minutes.
  • Add 4 cup water and salt cover it and cook for 23 minutes.  
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
