Handvo appo

Ingredients:
  • Rice 150gm
  • Split black lentil 150gm(urad dal)
  • Split green lentils 150gm(mung dal)
  • Split bengal lentils 150gm(channa dal)
  • Sour butter milk 500 ml(Chhas)
  • Eating soda 1 teaspoon
  • Tahini 50 gm(til)
  • Cumin seeds 2 teaspoon(jeera)
  • Garlic, ginger, green chili paste 3 teaspoon
  • One medium bottle gourd grated(lauki)
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • Coriander leaves chopped(dhania)
  • Salt
Procedure:
  • Soak rice, lentils for 6 hours and grind it.  Add butter milk and soda.
  • Leave it overnight to ferment.
  • Now add grated bottle gourd, garlic, ginger, green paste, tahini, cumin seeds, salt, onion.
  • Now heat oil in appe patra(easily available in super markets) and pour handvo mixture.  Cook it from both sides until crisp.  
  • Make slit in handvo appo and spread onion and coriander leaves.  Spread some green Chutney on each hondvo appo.
