Cheesy Channa Thechewala

Ingredients:
  • Chickpeas boiled 150gm
  • Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • Green chilies 17 to 18
  • Garlic cloves 25 to 30
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • 1 onion chopped
  • turmeric powder
  • asafetida
  • cheese
Procedure:
  • Grind chilies and garlic.  Heat 3 teaspoon of oil in a pan.  Add chilies and garlic mixture. 
  • Cook for 3 minutes.  Add salt, chopped coriander leaves.  Cook for another 4 minutes, keep this Thecha aside.
  • Now heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a sauce pan.  Add onion, cook for 2 minutes.  Add cooked chilies and garlic mixture, asafoetida.  Mix well.  
  • Mash some of the chickpeas separately and make fine paste like consistency.  Add this to pan.
  •  Stir well.  Now add remaining boiled chickpeas, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped coriander leaves and cheese.  Cook for another 6 to 7 minutes.
  • Garnish with chili thecha, coriander leaves, red chili powder, green chili and lemon wedges.
