- Chickpeas boiled 150gm
- Red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves chopped
- Green chilies 17 to 18
- Garlic cloves 25 to 30
- Oil
- Salt
- 1 onion chopped

- Grind chilies and garlic. Heat 3 teaspoon of oil in a pan. Add chilies and garlic mixture.
- Cook for 3 minutes. Add salt, chopped coriander leaves. Cook for another 4 minutes, keep this Thecha aside.
- Now heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a sauce pan. Add onion, cook for 2 minutes. Add cooked chilies and garlic mixture, asafoetida. Mix well.
- Mash some of the chickpeas separately and make fine paste like consistency. Add this to pan.
- Stir well. Now add remaining boiled chickpeas, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chopped coriander leaves and cheese. Cook for another 6 to 7 minutes.
- Garnish with chili thecha, coriander leaves, red chili powder, green chili and lemon wedges.
