Butter Green Tomato

Ingredients:
  • 6 Green tomatoes
  • 2 large onions sliced
  • 1 cup dry coconut sliced
  • coriander leaves chopped 1 cup
  • garlic cloves 5
  • garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • all spice powder 1 teaspoon
  • red chili powder 1/3 teaspoon
  • curd 4 teaspoon
  • salt
  • butter 1 cup
  • oil 


Procedure:
  • Give four slits to all tomatoes and rub them with salt.  In a pan add 2 teaspoon of butter and roast all the tomatoes until golden brown.
  • Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a pan and roast the onion slices until brown.  Same way roast the dry coconut slices.   In mixer grind onion, dry coconut, garlic and chopped coriander leaves together and make thick paste.  
  • In the same pan add remaining butter and add the prepared paste.  Add red chili powder, all spice powder, salt and cook for 5 minutes.  Add curd and mix well.
  • Add tomatoes and cover the pan, cook until oil separates the edges of the pan.  Add garam masala powder and cook for 2 minutes.  Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
