Ingredients:
- Green split lentils 1/2 bowl
- Split Pigon peas 1/2 bowl
- Rice 1 bowl
- Fenugreek leaves 1 bowl
- Garlic cloves chopped 12
- 1 Onion chopped
- 1 tomato chopped
- 1 green chili chopped
- Chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Kashmiri red chili powder 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds
- Turmeric powder
- Asatefoeida
- Oil
- Salt
- Heat some oil in a pot. Add cumin seeds, once splatters, add half garlic, green chili fenugreek leaves.
- Cook for a while. Add onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add tomato, red chili powder, asafoetida, turmeric powder and Mix well.
- Add rice, split grams and salt.
- Add water and cook on slow flame until grams gets completely desolved and rice gets soft.
- For tadka heat some oil in a large spoon. Add remaning garlic and cook until brown. Remove the spoon from flame and add kashmiri chili powder.
- Mix well and give this tadka on dal khichdi.
