Cokum Firni

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serve: 4
Ingredients:

  • Soaked rice one bowl 
  • Milk 1 litter
  • Sugar 1 bowl
  • Cardamom 5 
  • Saffron pods 
  • Kokum syrup 3 teaspoon

Procedure:

  • Keep saffron pods in luke warm water to soak.
  • Grind rice with some milk.  Don't make smooth paste.
  • In a thick bottom pan heat milk.  Keep stirring.  Once boiled,add rice mixture.  
  • Stir continuously so it would not form any lumps. 
  • Once milk becomes semi thick add sugar and mix well.  Add Kokum syrup, saffron water mix well. 
  • Finally add cardomom and cook for a while.  Switch of the flame serve chilled.
