Shillak Upmyache Dhirde

Serve: 4

Ingredients:
  • semolina 1 cup (suji)
  • 1 onion chopped
  • mustard seeds
  • 3 green chilies chopped
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 large potato boiled
  • 4 tablespoon Bengal gram flour
  • sambar masala 2 teaspoon
  • water
  • salt
  • oil
Procedure:
  • Heat 2 teaspoon of oil in a pan.  Add mustard seeds, once crackles add green chilies.  Cook for a while.  Add onion, turmeric powder, salt and cook until soft.
  • Add 2 glass of water.  Give a nice boil.  Now add semolina and stir well.  Cook until it absorbs all the water.  
  • Keep it to cool.  Now grind the prepared upma, boiled potato with the help of water. 
  • Now mix Bengal gram flour, salt, sambar masala, water and make semi thick batter. 
  • Heat some oil on a pan.  Spread the batter on a pan like pancakes.  Roast from both the sides until golden brown in color.  Serve hot with tomato ketchup
